A mobile racing game for Android phones, raced worldwide
Live grids, a garage that actually changes the lap, and a ladder that remembers every race you finish.
Free to play
Grids are filled with players racing at the same moment, matched by car class. The car ahead brakes late because somebody decided to.
Traction, gearing, brakes, top end. Spend on the part that is costing you time on the track you keep losing, not on a single power number.
A harbour circuit rewards a clean exit. A tight industrial loop rewards the one who brakes last. Same car, two different setups.
Ranked seasons, per-track leaderboards and a record of your best lap. Finishing fourth still moves you if the field was quick.
Races are built to fit a bus stop, not an evening. Instant rematch keeps you on the grid instead of in menus.
Shot on the circuits as they run in-game.
Same garage, same car, four different kinds of pressure.
Drop into the next grid that matches your car class and go.
Every finish counts toward your place on the seasonal ladder.
You, the track and the ghost of your own best lap.
A private grid for the people you already argue with.
Every mode runs on the cars you have tuned yourself — nothing is a separate car list.
Not the fastest one. The one that rotates when you want it to — that is the car you will be quick in.
Run the same circuit three times in Time Trial. Sector splits will tell you exactly where the lap is going.
Losing on exits means traction. Losing on the straight means gearing. The garage is a diagnosis, not a shopping list.
Join a ranked grid. The season starts counting from your first finish, not your first win.
The upgrades are the part that got me. Changed the gearing for the harbour track and found most of a second without driving any differently.
Races are short enough that I actually finish them on my commute. Rematch button means I never go back to a menu.
You can tell it is real people. Nobody holds a consistent line into the hairpin, and that is the fun of it.
Multiplayer grids are filled with players racing at the same moment, matched by the class of car you bring. Time Trial is the solo mode, and there you race your own ghost.
For live races, yes — the grid is running in real time. Time Trial is the mode to open when the signal is patchy.
There is a graphics setting that drops effects before it drops frame rate. Handling and physics are identical on every device, so nobody is quicker for owning a newer phone.
Tilt, two-thumb and single-tap steering are all in settings, along with braking and traction assists. You can change them between races without affecting your ranked standing.
Leave your name and email and we will get you onto a grid.
Someone from the RACE BY WIRE team will get in touch shortly with what you need to start.
